In our videos and materials, gender is not always explicitly discussed, but rather the stereotype of ‘nursing = female’ is inadvertently reinforced. In order to solve this problem, we intensify our gender analysis, including the marginalisation of male nursing workers in the structure of the profession and examine the history of the feminisation of the nursing profession. We point out the gender proportions and stereotypes that exist in the nursing profession and find official data to justify and analyse this status. By introducing gender proportion data with historical analyses, we hope to reveal the tensions within these occupations and enrich our presentation of nursing.
